Teeth Extraction:

Teeth unsalvageable and cannot be restored by any means need removal. It is majorly performed under Local Anesthesia preferably by an Oral Surgeon as they are specifically trained in it. They not only remove the tooth but also prepare the residual bone and gums ready to be rehabilitated at the earliest.
There has been a myth spread amongst most people, harboured by fear, that only maximum of two teeth could be removed at one seating. However, the decision is complex and if the medical status of the patient is manageable by a confident Oral Surgeon, as many as all teeth could be removed at one visit.

Wisdom Tooth Removal:

The wisdom tooth is the last tooth to erupt into the mouth anytime after 16 years of age. Frequently there is not enough room to accommodate these teeth and they do-not erupt in the mouth normally. This is frequently termed as “impacted”. These cause repeated attack of infection in the gums surrounding the impacted tooth leading excruciating pain and swelling along with food packing leading to decay and more cause of pain. They also at times with repeated infections lead to cyst formation. Therefore, these teeth when they start creating problems must be removed by an oral surgeon. These teeth are best removes all at once under general anaesthesia as a day case. General anaesthesia is also presented as an option when tooth has a cyst or is very close to vital structures that need to be saved. These teeth can be removed one at a time under local anaesthesia when they are easily approachable without causing much pain, discomfort or creating a horror story of an episode.

Dental Replacements & Implants:

After tooth removal, it is essential to replace the gap else may lead the other grievous problems of the jaw joint while movement or chewing. We bring to you a wide range of teeth replacements starting with the age-old dentures to the state-of-art fixed rehabilitation. The patient is explained what are the options available to them, customised to their present dental condition. We also take in account the views of the patient regarding the choice of replacement.
Each lost tooth must be replaced by alternate so that chewing should be at any point be balanced. The best replacement in dentistry is placing an Implant. These are fixed titanium “screws” in the bone that bear a crown on top. This is just like your own teeth emerging from gums.
Dr Srijon Mukheji, having placed more than thousands of implants successfully, regularly conducts Implant courses for imparting his experience to the new dentists and oral surgeons and training them to be masters in the art.

Advanced Implantology:

Do patients who have very ill-fitting dentures due to loss of bone not get fixed teeth? They do! Its available with advanced implantology. When there is no bone around the gums, the advanced implantology allows us to take anchorage from bones higher in the face.
